The Thor movies have always been my least favourite in the Marvel Universe. They’re a a snooze fest, not helped by the fact that previously Thor has been so stoney faced and serious, with everyone else around him adding the colour. So naturally, I’m well impressed with this one.

Ragnarok finally gives Chris Hemsworth the chance to flex his (considerable) comedy muscles alongside his rippling biceps. Thor quips his (cute) butt off to a kick ass soundtrack that sounds like the Wonder Woman and Stranger Things soundtracks had a musical baby. Cate Blanchett is a magnificent goddess of a villainess and Jeff Goldblum is Jeff Goldblum, which is SO fine with me.

I could have done with maybe 2 per cent less quipping, but overall the director struck the right tone, in both the film itself and in voicing standout character Korg.

PISS OFF GHOST. (You’ll get it once you’ve seen it).
